All Hail the Queen B (Aunt B, that is)

My little sister Abby was recently crowned Reno High Winterfest Queen.  We attended the Reno High basketball game at which she was crowned.

Tanuary II/David's 35th Birthday Party

In late January we threw Tanuary II, a summer/tropical-themed party in the middle of winter.  It also served as David's 35th Birthday Party.  We had a great time!

Milestones: Lucy gets a tooth

Lucy finally broke her first tooth this last Monday, February 28, 2011.  She has been a little "spicier" as she has started teething, but it really has not been too bad.  I can't persuade her to let me photograph her new tooth but here is a good shot of her adorable smile.

Lucy Goes Snowshoeing

In January we took Lucy snowshoeing with our good friends Jeremy and Catherine Reichenberg.  It was a beautiful but cold day.  Lucy did pretty well, though she did get hungry and require a little snack in the woods.  She also did not love how little she could bend her arms in this snowsuit, so we will have to try a different one next time.

Baby Tricks: All Fours, Pulling Up/Standing with Support, and ..... Crawling!

Lucy is full of baby tricks lately!  In late December she started pushing up onto all fours, and she's now been crawling since the first week of February (see video, below).  She can pull up to standing as well.  And she can clap now, which is very cute.  She is pretty fast when crawling, and she gets sort of excited and pants as she gets closer to whatever she is after (lately that means paper and the peat moss in our potted indoor lemon tree).

Hawaii 2010: Celebrate!
