Likes: music, watching Mommy dance silly (finally, an appreciative audience!), playing airplane with Daddy (game consisting of being zoomed around the house by Daddy), smart phones, being held and cuddled, dogs (which she enjoys exclusively away from home since we do not have one), nursing, eating solids (especially avocado and yogurt w/ banana), taking everything out of purse/basket/box and not putting it back in, chewing on or waving her centipede drumsticks.
Dislikes: getting buckled into the car seat, getting her face or nose wiped, getting stuck under the coffee table.
Recent baby tricks/skills: standing with support, climbing stairs, biting (ouch!), sharing her teething biscuits and toys, kissing Mommy and Daddy. And last night I noticed she was trying to put her own shoes on ... she was matching up the bottom of her foot with the bottom of her shoe and trying to get her foot in the shoe. Pretty adorable!
Recent culinary adventures: salmon, cucumber, cauliflower, sturgeon, meyer lemon barley risotto, french bread crust, egg yolk, Perrier, Cheerios.
Vocab: dada (means "Daddy," sometimes means "Mommy" and lots of other things too), dog, mama (says this infrequently but it is so sweet when she does), ah-dada (so far as we can tell it means "I want that" and/or generic whining, expression of displeasure), up, hi, kitty (or something pretty close to that), bear, duck.
