Race for the Cure - Lucy gets decked out in pink
Lucy and I walked (she rolled, really) in the Race for the Cure 2010 with The Group, a professional networking group for women to which I belong. It was actually RAINING so Lucy was a lot more covered up than this for the actual race, but here is all her pink fabulousness that was underneath the pink sweatshirt and blankets.

Lucy's Baptism - Oh Happy Day!
We were excited to have Lucy baptized on August 22, 2010 at our parish, Our Lady of the Snows. Not that she wasn't also excited, but Lucy was so relaxed about it that she pretty much slept through the entire thing, oblivious to the original sin being washed right off her! Our dear friends Allison and Justin Gagnon are her godparents and Monsignor Leo McFadden presided at the mass. Here are some photos from the momentous occassion.

Back to Work
I went back to work full time a couple of weeks ago after a wonderful 12 week maternity leave recovering from Lucy's birth and bonding with my little Lucy. We're getting our routine down now, but, WOW, working full time and caring for a 3 month old is exhausting! Thankfully the transition back to the office was made much easier because we're lucky to have our families helping us out with Lucy's care while we're both at work. It really does "take a village" and Lucy is so lucky to have Grandma (David's mom), Mimi (my mom), Aunt Lara, and cousins Abby and Maddie to keep her company during the work week.

Labor Day Weekend at Tahoe!
We spent Labor Day weekend at Lake Tahoe with the Millers. There was lots of card playing, some quality time on the boat, and plenty of time chillin at the cabin, enjoying the spectacular views. We also hiked a portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail (near Tahoe City) while we were there. It was a beautiful day and Lucy seemed to enjoy the views, at least until she fell asleep in the Baby Bjorn.
Lucy in her fantastic baby life vest. She was skeptical at first but eventually fell asleep.
Aunt Abby (aka "Aunt Baby") with Lucy on the new boat.
Lucy chillin' in her swim suit. No, she did not go swimming in Tahoe.

Stylin' ...
This is what Lucy wore to the farmer's market on Saturday. If this doesn't say "I'm ready to buy locally-grown eggplant", I don't know what does.

Bath time!
Lucy managed to escape bathing altogether for the first 24 hours of her life. Her uncle Kyle and Aunt Paige would be proud. When we finally bathed her late Thursday night, June 24, she was not such a fan.

She was also not so enthusiastic about her first bath at home. Thankfully Mimi was around to help.

Although still skeptical, she has started to like bath time a lot more after those first couple of baths ...
