The Most Popular Girl in Town

One great thing about having a baby is that everyone wants to meet the baby! We used this opportunity to take advantage of offers of food and company while we adjusted to life as a new family. We were delighted to have many friends come to meet her in the first few weeks of her life. Here is a sampling:

Lucy's Birth

On Wednesday June 23, 2010 we welcomed Lucy Lorraine in to our lives. It was a very long (34+ hours) and difficult labor, made easier by a great doula, Sherry Asp, a wonderful midwife, Lynn Anderson, good prenatal yoga and hypnobirthing training (thanks Mandy and Kim!) and of course by David's tireless support. Lucy was worth every epidural-free moment of it! She was 6 lbs, 14.5 ounces and 18.5 inches long and born at 8:49 pm.
