Go Aces! (Spring 2012)

We share season tickets to the Reno Aces with a group of David's friends.  We have six seats in the third row and it works out that each family gets approximately 20 games each season.  Lucy's very first Aces game was when she was only a few weeks old and it is a tradition we've kept up.  We sometimes ride our bikes there (most of the path is along the river) and going to the games is something we really enjoy as a family. The stadium is very family friendly and even includes a playground for kids behind the outfield area. Check out these photos of our little fan!

This was on opening day.  It was soooooo cold.  Lucy would not leave her gloves on so we had to leave early.

Lucy heckling the opposing team (our seats are right next to their dugout).  "Go Aces!" she would say in her tiny little voice.

They gave her this ball despite the harassment.  She later threw it back in the dugout.

More portraits with Kendall (September 2012)

We had Lucy's portrait taken at the end of September 2012.  As usual, Kendall Price captures some great images. Check out some more over at Kendall's Blog.

Mother's Day 2012

I always like to take a photo with Lucy for mother's day.  This year she cooperated much better than last year

Easter 2012 - too much candy!

Let me take this opportunity to share with you a cautionary tale.  If you feed your child nothing but candy all day (or even almost nothing but candy), it could possibly end with her vomiting all over both her parents and herself, just as you are about to leave for Easter dinner. So consider yourself warned, just in case that was not already obvious to anybody with a couple of brain cells.  And then if you finally arrive at the Easter dinner potluck (late, because everyone had to bathe again because of the vomit) and promptly spill most of your quinoa pistachio and cranberry pilaf in the driveway, you just have bad luck.  We did not set out to only feed our child candy, we just did not notice how much she consumed, especially in relation to how little brunch she ate. Oops!  Vomit and spillage aside, we still had a great Easter.  But by the time all of that happened I wasn't in much of a mood for photography, so there are not any photos from later in the day.  Cest la vie!

Lucy inspects the treats from the Easter Bunny.

Look what the Easter Bunny brought!

Look at my chocolate egg!

Nonnie and Pappy help Lucy with the pre-brunch egg hunt.

Nonnie and Pappy brought Lucy a gardening set for Easter, so of course she wore her gardening gloves and apron to hunt eggs in our back yard.

Time for brunch!  Crab cakes with spicy remoulade, salad and fruit.

Donahoe Easter Egg Hunt - April 2012

Our friends the Donahoes have an amazing back yard.  It is like a park!  They hosted a great Easter Egg hunt.  Lucy loved it!

On the hunt!

Priya and Lucy.

Lucy puts an egg in Priya's basket.  Such sweet sharing!
